Nominations are requested for Chair of INI Steering Committee and Director of the Latin American Nitrogen Center.
As part of a process of leadership transition in the INI, Luiz Martinelli and Jim Galloway are stepping down as director of the Latin American Nitrogen Center, and as chair of the INI Steering Committee, respectively. Both actions are effective December 31, 2007.
Please submit nominations via email to Sybil Seitzinger (sybil(at)marine.rutgers.edu) of the INI Steering Committee by October 31, 2007. All nomination emails must include the subject heading "INI nomination"; an acknowledgment of receipt of email will be sent to the nominator; if the nominator does not receive a reply within 5 days they should check with Seitzinger to ensure that the message was received.
The nomination should include complete contact information, an indication of the willingness of the nominee to serve, and 1-2 paragraphs why the individual would be great in the position.
Nominations will be sent to SCOPE and IGBP/AIMES (INI’s sponsors) for selection.
Announcement of the individuals selected for both positions will be made by the end of 2007. The length of the term will be three years with the possibility for a second term. |
