FONDA Summer School 2025 (Azores): Improving Nitrogen Budgets via Satellite Data

The FONDA Summer School 2025 will focus on the theme “Ecosystems at Risk: Improving Nitrogen Budgets by Exploiting Satellite Data.” Hosted in the Azores, this intensive training is designed for PhD students, early-career researchers, and professionals in atmospheric science, nitrogen modelling, and remote sensing.
Participants will explore:
- Satellite applications for NH₃ and NO₂
- Atmospheric chemistry and nitrogen transport
- Data assimilation and inversion modeling
- Exercises using Google Earth Engine and CTM outputs
- Ecosystem-level assessments and marine nitrogen inputs
No fee to attend (per the official flyer). Travel and accommodation not included.
Accommodation fellowships may be available.
